The hearing will focus on the programs and services offered by Area Agencies on Aging and their current needs. The Committee also seeks testimony to evaluate the funding available for these programs, including the $15 million in funding allocated in the 2019-2020 enacted State budget for the Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP) designed to eliminate unmet need.

StateWide is co-hosting this event with PSC Retiree Chapter, the PSC Social Safety Net Working Group, and the Caring Majority. Featuring the film “CARE" which describes the conditions home care workers face, followed by a presentation & discussion on the crisis in long-term care and what needs to be done. The event will be held in the PSC Union Hall on the 16th floor at 61 Broadway on Wednesday evening, December 11 from 6-8pm. Free admission, light refreshments.
